The final Windows Phone 7 developers will arrive Sept. 16, about seven months after the public unveiling of the next-generation mobile phone.
To date, there have been more than 300,000 downloads of the tools.
According to the Windows team, developers have been benefiting from their approach of providing a rich application platform based on the Silverlight and XNA technologies, combined with free tools based on Visual Studio 2010 and Expression Blend.
“Large or small, all developers will have equal opportunity to capitalize on the first-mover advantage of having their apps or games ready at launch,” the team said.
