Meego has released its MeeGo 1.1, which offers a baseline for device vendors and developers to start creating software for various device categories on Intel Atom and ARMv7 architectures.

This release includes Core OS 1.1, Netbook UX 1.1, In-Vehicle Infotainment UX 1.1, Handset UX 1.1, and SDK 1.1 Beta.

These are brought to application developers through the MeeGo application programming interface, which is based on Qt and other technologies such as the MeeGo Touch Framework.

An update, MeeGo 1.2, is scheduled for April of 2011 and will include a Handset UX release with a complete set of applications, and support for other device usage models.
