Nexmo includes Viber in Chat App API

Nexmo has announced a collaboration with Viber that will allow brands to engage their customers on Viber’s messaging platform through Nexmo’s Chat App API.

Viber is the latest addition to Nexmo’s Chat App API, which allows brands to engage their customers via multiple chat apps like LINE and WeChat through one API.

The Nexmo Chat App API adds to Nexmo's cloud portfolio of communications APIs and services that support multiple channels, including chat apps, SMS or voice.

Chat applications have massive online presence but differ from one another in terms of disparate features, geographic penetration, technical requirements and local market restrictions.

The Nexmo Chat App API solves these problems with one API, allowing brands to integrate LINE, WeChat and now Viber into their existing communications platform. The Chat App API connectivity is also supported 24/7 with Nexmo’s globally recognized customer service offerings.

Brands can immediately sign up for beta access to engage with their customers via Viber, WeChat and Line through one easy-to-use cloud API.
