Singapore Telecommunications and KVH have signed an agreement to jointly develop and operate an ultra low-latency and fully redundant network service between Singapore and Japan for the financial trading community.

To launch in the first quarter of 2010, the service will be offered to the Singapore Exchange (SGX) and major Japanese exchanges, as well as Proximity Hosting in Singapore and Japan.

The new service allows traders to house their trading systems at the gateway to the trading engines of SGX and all major Japanese exchanges.
