The Gamecocks are back in the Final Four, and like last year, they are undefeated. South Carolina smashed Presbyterian 91-39 and hammered North Carolina 88-41 in rounds 64 and 32, respectively. In a remarkable coaching masterstroke, Dawn Staley changed the entire starting team from last year yet has remained unbeatable, leaning on a mean defensive performance. Added to the exceptional management from Staley and a deep bench, the Gamecocks have multiple strategies and can switch plans when necessary. Last year’s team fell in the Final Four following an elite performance by Clark. Anything less than that, and the Gamecocks will make it to the championship game.
