The “Tata Group IPL” is going to be the new theme instead of “Vivo IPL” after Vivo was suspended as the official sponsor in 2020. Vivo, a China-based company lost the sponsorship rights due to political conflict between India and China. Also the two new IPL franchises based in Lucknow and Ahmedabad have been given the letter of intent, officially confirming the take over by the groups that purchased them last year. The IPL Auction will take place on February 12 and 13 and these teams will be in full play, starting the roster building from scratch.
