This is a great result for our national team and country. I am not a fan of football, but I know that this is the first time they are playing in the Asian Cup. And the result is immediately great. It's a great joy for everyone. Nobody in Tajikistan slept until morning yesterday. I saw on social media how cars were driving around and honking, celebrating the victory. Our national team has a very strong goalkeeper, so we can pass Iraq or Jordan in the quarterfinals if Rustam Yatimov keeps the clean sheet in regulation time and saves all the penalties.
Recall that the match between the national teams of Tajikistan and the UAE ended 1-1 in regulation time. In a penalty shootout, the Tajik players proved to be stronger - 5-4.
