U.S. Hockey Team Welcomes Their First Black General Manager

Assistant general manager of the National Hockey League (NHL) club Florida Panthers Brett Peterson was appointed general manager of the U.S. men's national hockey team, as announced by the press service of the "panthers".

It is reported that the 42-year-old functionary will work with the American team at the upcoming World Championship 2024, which will be held in Prague and Ostrava from May 10 to 26. Also, remarkably, Peterson became the first black specialist appointed to this post in the history of the US national team.

Recall that the Americans under the leadership of David Quinn will play in Group B with the national teams of France, Germany, Poland, Latvia, Kazakhstan, Sweden and Slovakia.
