Concerns Rise Over Water Quality In River Seine Ahead Of 2024 Olympics

The environmental organization Surfrider Foundation has expressed concern about the water quality in the Parisian River Seine, where swimming and triathlon competitions will take place during the 2024 Olympic Games.

According to sources, out of 14 measurements conducted between September 2023 and March 2024, 13 samples showed exceeding acceptable levels of contamination with E. coli and other bacteria.

Recall that the Summer Olympics in Paris-2024 will be held from July 26 to August 11. The triathlon competitions will take place on July 30-31 and August 5, while open water swimming will be held on August 8-9.
