UK based operator and ICT service provider BT has launched a new consultancy program designed to help large organizations better understand and mitigate their security risks.

The new Cyber Roadmap Consulting service will involve consultants from BT’s global security consulting team working with customers worldwide to identify risks in existing systems and processes.

Consultants will aim to create a bespoke cyber-threat mitigation and defense plan for each customer, providing step-by-step guidance to help them improve security throughout their organisation, covering people, processes and technology.

The plans will include recommended improvements aligned to customers’ business priorities and their specific ICT context. Consultancy is supported by BT’s portfolio of security products and services.

“Our approach not only identifies gaps, it takes a broader view on how to help customers stay ahead of the threat curve,” BT general manager for security consulting Guus van Es said.

BT’s Cyber Roadmap Consulting is fully compliant with ISO27002, the US Commerce Department's National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cyber Security Framework and the US Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) requirements for the financial services industry.

BT’s global Security Consulting team consists of 500 security specialists with expertise in every cyber area.
