China Mobile Hong Kong has launched new internet data center services for multinationals and mainland enterprises.

The company will target Sino-HK enterprises, network carriers, financial service institutions, cloud and IT service providers with the service.

It will be provided through four strategically located data centers – the MITA and ITT in Kwai Chung, GNC in Tseung Kwan O and DCC in Ap Lei Chau.

The four facilities have achieved Tier II+ or III+ infrastructure standards, and several have been awarded ISO27001 security certification, the company said. They have also been designed using environmentally friendly principles.

CMHK will provide a range of services from private containment to server colocation, and value added services including a Business Resumption Center, as well as local and cross-border connectivity services from Hong Kong to China and other parts of the world.

“Backed by the extensive network advantages of our parent company China Mobile, coupled with our rich experience as Hong Kong’s leading mobile network operator, we are committed to operating with the pioneer technology and advanced IDC facilities in Hong Kong,” CMHK CEO Sean Lee said.

“To cope with the various hosting needs of carriers and enterprises, CMHK is dedicated to developing tailor-made IDC services to our customers’ specific businesses.”
