Dowslake Microsystems has signed its first major contract with China Telecom for supplying carrier Ethernet switches to deliver bandwidth service in Sichuan province.
Also, Dowslake said China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has tested and certified for deployment the company's MTS series carrier Ethernet switch.
The Dowslake MTS family of products consist of Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches designed according to the latest Carrier Ethernet standards, including MEF 9 and MEF 14, IEEE 802.1ag, IEEE 802.3ah and ITU-T Recommendation Y.1731.
