Bahamas Telecommunications Company has chosen Comptel to supply mediation, provisioning and activation solutions to replace existing third-party solutions.
According to BTC, this will provide it with the much needed flexibility and reliability to meet the growing popularity of GSM services in the Bahamas.
BTC has been using Comptel solutions since 2002 for service mediation, provisioning and activation for TDMA and CDMA.
Other third-party solutions, however, have also been deployed to handle GSM services. Comptel has been selected to replace those solutions to support the increase in the telco's GSM subscriber base.
