Sri Lanka's Dialog Axiata has teamed up with Ericsson to make managed enterprise cloud services available in the country.

The operator will offer enterprises operating in Sri Lanka a suite of business applications as a service, providing customers access to the shared enterprise services via a secure web portal.

At launch, available applications will include an email server, web client, a customer relationship management system and a content management platform.

Ericsson will provide its Managed Enterprise Cloud framework to Dialog, integrating the framework with the operator's data center and managing the system remotely via its global service centers.

“This agreement signifies yet another innovative collaboration that aims to grow the nation's cloud and enterprise business market segment, while in turn driving economic growth through innovative ICT advancements,” Dialog Axiata COO Azwan Khan said.

“Dialog has established its position as the premier connectivity solutions provider for Sri Lanka's enterprise sector, and our strategic partnership with Ericsson will no doubt help strengthen our position.”

Dialog already offers a range of enterprise services, including data connectivity and voice, digital service offerings and hosted services including Infrastructure-as-a-Service, Software-as-a-Service and Platform-as-a-Service.

The company is Sri Lanka's largest mobile operator with an estimated 10 million customers.
