Hong Kong's HKBN has launched a 100Mbps broadband and home phone bundle tailored exclusively for existing home phone subscribers of rival PCCW-HKT.

HKBN is offering subscriptions to a home telephone service at a special rate, and an option to subscribe to 100Mbps fiber broadband for an extra HK$99 ($12.75), to HKT customers who port their numbers to HKBN.

Customers must also present their HKT bills for the last three months and agree to a 24-month contract under the same service installation address.

HKBN customers are offered a steady speed guarantee and provided a 14-day cooling off period to cancel their contract.

“Large numbers of customers on the market pay excessively high fees and are unaware that there are more reasonable value options for their home telephone and broadband services,” HKBN CMO and co-owner Seliana Chong said.

“As the largest provider of residential fibre broadband service in Hong Kong by number of subscriptions, HKBN continues to offer quality home telephone and broadband services at reasonable prices to customers at large.”

HKBN listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong last week after its owners completed a $750 million IPO. The operator has a roughly 34% share of Hong Kong's broadband market.
