Mobility applications, LTE network readiness, the increasing number of connected devices, acceptance of cloud services that demands efficient and secure networks are all driving Juniper's growth, according to Wayne Chan, director of technologies and solutions for Asia Pacific at Juniper Networks.
Looking ahead, Chan expects many more devices to require connectivity. For example, application servers in different data centers will work together to complete a task for a subscriber request. "This can only increase the demand for a highly effective and secure networking infrastructure for large-scale data center and multimedia delivery networks," he said.
He also expects to see accelerating adoption of 40G and 100G technologies.
He said a key differentiator of its metro network products is Junos OS. "We are the first networking vendor to enable service innovation and improve operational efficiency via a carrier-class application platform that spans across a metro deployment, including the user-end point devices."
The MX Series routers, he said, can handle more bandwidth and more subscribers with less space and power consumption than other products on the market.
