Rohde & Schwarz has successfully tested the first long-term evolution (LTE) terminals from leading handset manufacturers in line with the 3GPP March 2009 specification baseline.
This makes the R&S CMW500 one of the world's first protocol testers to fully support the latest 3GPP LTE test specifications.
With version 1.45 of the R&S CMW500 LTE software, all R&S LTE test scenarios that involve LTE C-plane signaling protocol testing have been successfully updated and verified in line with the latest specification.
This enhancement to the R&S CMW500 paves the way for LTE TTCN-3 (Testing and Test Control Notation version 3) protocol conformance tests and for radio frequency/radio resource management conformance tests as required by the Global Certification Forum for LTE terminal certification.
