Telstra has appointed Chen Xiaowei as chief executive officer of Telstra China.
Chen, who has more than 15 years experience in the media and information technology industry, will be based in Beijing and report to Tarek Robbiati, the group managing director of Telstra International.
Prior to joining Telstra Chen was CEO for Orange Sky Entertainment Group, an integrated entertainment company including production, artistic management, advertising and new media.
She is former president for Nasdaq-listed The9 Limited and president of China.com, consultant with McKinsey & Co, and was anchor and executive producer for China Central Television.
