The World Boxing Association (WBA) recognized Russian boxer Dmitry Bivol as the best boxer of the year. This was reported by the press service of the promotions company World of Boxing.

The 31-year-old Bivol had two fights in 2022. In November, Dmitry defeated Gilberto Ramirez by unanimous decision of the judges. In May, Bivol faced Saúl Álvarez. That bout went the full distance and ended with the Russian winning by unanimous decision. Bivol has 21 wins (11 KOs) and no losses.
