Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk commented on the result of the match against Ecuador in the second round of the group stage of World Cup 2022, which took place on November 25.
I think they were more active in midfield, where we lost the ball easily. They were a little more aggressive. Possession of the ball should have been better on our side. But we still got a result, that's important. If you haven't lost, everything's still in your hands.

Before the final round, the Netherlands lead Group A with four points. The Ecuador team also has four points. Third place goes to Senegal with three points, meaning they still have a chance of making the playoffs.
Qatar is in last place without points and mathematically can't get four points in the last round.
