Dallas Mavericks and Luka Doncic have agreed to a blockbuster $207 million deal in a contract that runs for 5 years. Dallas Mavericks’ owner Mark Cuban and the former Mavericks great Dirk Nowitzki personally made a journey to Slovenia and confirmed the deal with the emerging superstar.

Doncic has now entered the prime of his career and had a tremendous 2020-21 season with the Mavericks, averaging 27.7 PPG, 8.6 APG, and 8.0 RPG making the postseason. However, the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Mavs in 7 games even though Luka captivated the NBA world with an average of 35.7 PPG, 10.3 APG, and 7.9 RPG, but fell short eventually. Luka also created history with Slovenia when he scored 48 points in his Olympics debut, which is the most points by an Olympic debutant in basketball. However, Slovenia fell short in the Semifinals of the Olympics and also lost the bronze medal game.
