UFC middleweight champion Alex Pereira said he lost about 10 kilograms since his press conference yesterday until his weigh-in today, April 7, before his rematch with Israel Adesanya. Pereira spoke to Daniel Cormier about it.
Remember, Pereira was 83.91 kilograms and Adesanya was 83.68 kilograms at the weigh-in. The rematch between these fighters will take place on the night of April 9 in Miami at the UFC 287 tournament. Their first fight took place in November, 2022, and finished in favor of Alex by TKO in the fifth round.
Pereira fought in July 2022 against Sean Strickland at UFC 276. In that fight, Alex won by knockout in the first round.
