PFL chairman Donn Davis revealed that former UFC fighter Nate Diaz is turning down a $15 million contract for a bout against Jake Paul under MMA rules.

In an interview with MMA Fighting Davis said:

I respect Nate, he’s the people’s champ, he’s a man’s man, he’s stand up as all stand up. But, he said, ‘I’ll do it in the PFL SmartCage two minutes after the [Paul boxing fight], he’s got a standing offer of between $10 and $15 million, and he’s hiding behind a rock. $10-15 million, biggest payday of his life. He gets beat by Jake ... and he’s hiding behind a rock.

Recall, Paul defeated Diaz by unanimous decision of the judges at the boxing night held on August 6 in Dallas (USA). After the fight, Jake said that the PFL league is ready to offer them $10 million dollars for a rematch under MMA rules. Nate's MMA record has 21 wins and 13 losses and one loss in boxing.

In September 2022 at UFC 279, Diaz defeated Tony Ferguson by fourth-round submission.
