Ngannou Says His Next Fight Could Be Against Wilder Under MMA Rules

Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou said his next fight could be against former WBC champion Deontay Wilder under MMA rules.

MMA Junkie quotes Ngannou as saying:

Francis Ngannou
That’s something that can potentially happen. Deontay Wilder for a couple of months, or a little while, has been training MMA. Nothing is set, but some things have been coming to my attention, so that’s something that makes sense. He’s really serious about MMA.

Ngannou last fought under MMA rules in January 2022 at UFC 270, defeating Ciryl Gane by unanimous decision of the judges. He has 17 wins and three losses on his MMA record.

Wilder last stepped into the ring in October 2022, defeating Robert Helenius by first-round knockout. He has 43 wins (42 by knockout), one draw and two losses.
