Former number one women’s tennis player Kiki Bertens singles career came to an end after she was defeated by Czech Republic’s Marketa Vondrousuva. The Olympic game was decided in the third set and was tense throughout.
After Marketa won the first set, Kiki exchanged the blow in the next set, however, Kiki ultimately succumbed in the final set in a statline that read 6-4, 3-6, 6-4. Kiki finished her career at the 21st spot in the Women’s Tennis rankings.
