02:25 AM UTC: Melbourne Renegades vs Sydney Sixers

A buoyed Renegades out will clash against a struggling Sixers in another game during the Women’s Big Bash League. The Renegades have won three out of four games so far while the Sixers have split their four completed games. Both teams have had a game washed out due to rain. The two teams met on 24 October last time the two teams met, Renegades won by a significant margin.

The spark of Healy and Verma missing

On paper, a power-packed batting lineup of Shefali Verma, Alyssa Healy, and Georgia Wareham can strike fear in the hearts of many bowlers. However, the WBBL bowlers have not let Sixers make any significant opening partnership yet. Both Verma and Healy have got a fifty each but one or the other has fallen way too early with Verma bagging two ducks. This has not allowed Perry to play freely as she has to undertake a repairing job.

In terms of bowling, Ashleigh Gardner has been up and down. Stella Campbell has shown promise with pace while spinner Radha Yadav is still settling in. Nicole Bolton has been impressive and Perry has been decent as well. The batting is more of an issue for the Sixers right now.

Jemimah finds form and Eve Jones has been reliable

Jemimah smoked 76 runs in the last inning while Eve Jones has done a great job to get things going. Meanwhile, Courtney has acted as an anchor for the team. Harmanpreet Kaur has done a great job of finishing things off, including a Player of the Match knock. The batting looks in great touch now and Melbourne can build something special this season.

In terms of bowling, the team has looked equally impressive. The bowling is spin-heavy with Sophie Molineux taking the baton, Kaur eking out both wickets and being economical. While Ella Hayward and Courtney Webb have also been impressive. Things are clicking for Melbourne right but can they sustain their rhythm?
