11:15 PM UTC: Sydney Thunder vs Hobart Hurricanes, WBBL

Sydney Thunder and Hobart Hurricanes will meet in another Women’s Big Bash League battle. Thunder are at the bottom of the table with just one win and four losses meanwhile Hobart Hurricanes have lost four of their six games.

Top-order not clicking but Mignon du Preez back among runs

The top-order for the Hurricanes is not in the best form. Rachel Priest and Ruth Johnston have been unable to give quick or long starts to Hobart. Mignon du Preez has now recovered her form and comes off a 70+ runs innings in the loss against the Heat. Richa Ghosh has not been making runs lately but Nicola Carey has been decent. The bowlers took a huge hammering for the team in the last game though and have continued to underwhelm.

Litchfield revives the batting but most batters struggling

Except for 60 odd runs innings, Mandhana has fallen in single figures for the Thunder. She has been mostly caught out looking to put one away wide on the off-stump. Phoebe Litchfield did manage 30-odd in the last game while Tahlia Wilson also showed signs of form but the batting has been largely underwhelming. Bowlers Issy Wong and Deepti Sharma showed some promise in the win against Stars, however, largely, the bowling has been inconsistent.
