San Diego Padres vs Colorado Rockies Prediction: Padres to win back in the season series

San Diego closed the series against tough Minnesota with a win and now on their field will try to beat division rival Colorado Rockies. Let's pick a few bets on the series' first game at once. 

The Padres are 12 wins behind the Los Angeles Dodgers in the division. But that has nothing to do with the Holy Fathers' problems but mostly with the strength of the Dodgers, who are superior to San Diego and to every other team in the National League. In the series with Minnesota, the Padres showed that they would be the favorite in a playoff series against any team but the Dodgers, 10-1, 4-7, 3-2.

First, Colorado exchanged wins with the Chicago White Sox –1-2, 6-5. Then the Rockies squeezed out one win in 4 meetings with the Los Angeles Dodgers, 0-13, 4-5, 5-3, 3-7. Overall, the Rockies are 46-57 and 9.5 wins behind the National League wild-card zone.

Antonio Senzatela is the starting pitcher for Colorado's upcoming game against San Diego – 3-5 and a 4.90 ERA in 15 games this season.

The score in the season series is 8-3 in favor of Colorado.

Bob Melvin's team is significantly above Colorado in the season series. Therefore, it will not be a surprise if the Padres beat the Rockies in all games of the upcoming home confrontation. They'll get down to business right from game one.
