Chicago Bulls vs San Antonio Spurs Prediction: Momentum-seeking Bulls clashes against lowly Spurs

The NBA season has hit its peak after we learned that Kyrie Irving has been traded to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smith, and three picks. Markieff Morris also got traded to the Mavs in the deal. This can be a transformative window for the league in numerous ways. Will the Chicago Bulls and the San Antonio Spurs also make some trades? Chicago comes into the game after defeating the Trail Blazers 129:121 courtesy of a 36 points performance by Zach LaVine. This was the third win in four games and in an extended window, Chicago has won 6 of their 9 games. Due to that, they have acquired 25 wins and 27 losses. This has been a tough season for Chicago but their play has improved since late December and that is because of their improved offensive output. Their team balance looks more than decent so it is a matter of figuring out what combinations work. They will be without Lonzo Ball for the season it seems and not having him has hurt the cause.

The Spurs enter the game after losing 125:137 against the 76ers despite a 26 points outing by Malaki Branham. They have lost eight in a row and this sums up their season. They began the season with five wins and two losses, however, since then, they have lost 37 and won just nine. They have usually lost the game by double-digits and have given up big runs regularly. Rookie Branham has turned it on in the last games whereas Keldon Johnson has been the leading scorer, whose responsibilities multiplied when Devin Vassell got injured. The Spurs have been irrelevant for a sizeable time now.

The Bulls are a much better squad than the Spurs and will be playing at home here so the advantage is clearly on their side. The issues for San Antonio have been rather way too many and they are a terrible squad on both ends. Their injury list only exacerbates the woes. That is why I predict a Bulls win and predict a 130:110 win in their favor.
