Minnesota Timberwolves vs Houston Rockets Prediction: Improved Wolves take on hapless Rockets

The NBA trade rumors are now ringing aloud in the league and there is no doubt we will see some big-time contributors being moved. This window is huge for both long-term and short-term gains and Managers/coaches across the boards have a lot of work to do. Anyway, in this NBA game, the Minnesota Timberwolves are going to take on the Houston Rockets.

The Timberwolves enter the affair after beating the Raptors 128:126 in a thrilling game as sharpshooter D’Angelo Russell dipped in 25 points. They have split their last six games but overall, their play has been better than it was in December. They are still a game below the 50% win rate with 23 wins. Their offense is crisp and the team hasn’t solely relied upon Anthony Edwards with D’Angelo averaging 20+ points alongside much more effective nights from their role players. They have been playing without Karl Anthony-Towns for many weeks now and even Rudy Gobert has also hit the injury bug.

The Rockets come into the match after losing 117:122 against the Charlotte Hornets despite a career-high 41 points performance by their leading scorer Jalen Green. Houston has now lost 12 in a row and now has just 35 losses and 10 wins. This is not a surprise considering that the team is largely inexperienced and lacks consistency on either end of the floor. Jalen Green and Kevin Porter Jr. have combined for 40+ points but the frontline is highly iffy, apart from the recent improvements by amazing prospect Alperen Sengun. The Rockets are on the Victor Wembanayama train and he can be the piece that escalates their rebuilding process.
