Milan vs Juventus Prediction: Who will win the key fixture?

The centerpiece of this Italian Serie A weekend will take place at the San Siro stadium, where AC Milan will host Juventus. Who will be stronger in the clash between these two opponents? We'll select a few bets at once.

Stefano Pioli's team visited Chelsea in London on Wednesday in the third round of the Champions League group stage and could do nothing against a powerful opponent, losing 0-3. Milan had an extremely weak encounter, losing to the English by all accounts.

Not much better for the Rossoneri was the last round match in the Italian championship. While AC Milan defeated Empoli away with a score of 3-1, the second and third goals were scored by the Red and Blacks in the extra time.

The reason behind AC Milan's recent poor performance can be attributed to many injuries. Calabria, Kjaer, Maignan, Florenzi, Theo Hernandez and, lastly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic are players who would have been fielded in the starting line-up had they been present.

The international pause has had a positive impact on the Turin club's game. Before facing AC Milan, the team won two straight matches. First, Massimiliano Allegri's side beat Bologna 3-0 in the domestic championship. Then, in the Champions League, they earned a vital victory, beating Maccabi Haifa 3-1. They've been rather lively lately.

Like Milan, Juventus has problems with the squad. But, unlike the Rossoneri, they are gradually coming to an end. In particular, Federico Chiesa is already in the training group, and his appearance is highly anticipated by the fans.

• Milan: Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Davide Calabria, Simon Kjaer, Mike Maignan, Alessandro Florenzi, Alexis Saelemaekers will not play. Junior Messias, Theo Hernandez are questionable;

Juventus has played two very high quality matches in a row. Like last season, it seems that Max Allegri's players are finding their game after a poor start. The Rossoneri should have lost points already in the previous round, when they only managed to snatch victory from Empoli in the last seconds, and they will probably lose points now in the game with a revived Juventus.
