Shuai Zhang vs Martina Trevisan Prediction: Can Martina break the rut against Zhang?

Martina enters the Second Round after defeating Mayar Sherif 2-6, 6-2, 6-4 in the First Round. During the Cincinnati Masters, she lost in the first round to Anna Kalinskaya in a close game. During the Canadian Open too, she lost in the opening round, losing to Beatriz Haddad Maia in three sets. Therefore, she has now played three thrilling games in a row, implying that she has been battle-hardened at this point.

Trevisan is ranked 27, having hit one of the best phases of her career but the last couple of months haven’t been easy on the number one Italian player. She was amazing during the French Open this year and reached the Semi-Finals. She is the second-seeded player in the tournament. One of the biggest holes in her game is that she commits too many unforced errors.

Zhang and Trevisan have met twice and both times Shuai emerged as the winner. They last met during Rome Open in May when Zhang won in two sets
