Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Emil Ruusuvuori Prediction: Stefanos likely to dominate

The ATP scene is full of the best men’s professional tennis players. The Grand Slams bring relentless action but the other tournaments that involve the ATP’s best are not that far behind, even if they don’t attract a similar amount of eyeballs. So let us turn our heads to Rotterdam Open where Stefanos Tsitsipas will take on Emil Ruusuvoori

Greek Stefanos comes into the game after a successful Australian Open, where he lost to Novak Djokovic in what was a fantastic effort. He did lose in straight sets but two of them were tie-breakers. Stefanos is the number-three player in the world and he is the number-one-seeded player in Rotterdam Open. All-court game of Stefanos has helped him overcome elite opponents and he has developed a penchant for winning pressure games and not let the grip slip even when he is behind.

Emil is a Finnish player who comes into the game after a rather disappointing Sud de France campaign where he lost in the second round. His campaign was slashed in the second round during Australian Open too and he hasn’t made it past the second round of any ATP tournament since ATP Stockholm. Emil’s form has hit rock bottom for more than six months and he needs a big run to get back in the groove. He has slipped from 41 to 52 ranking in eight months. 

These two last met during the Stockholm Open(October 2022). Stefanos won comfortably in two sets. This has been the only meeting between these two.

Tsitsipas has been on fire for a long time now and he is of course one of the best players in the world. Emil’s returns have been slim these days(pun intended) and Stefanos can end up sneaking this in two sets.
