Doug Lowther to rejoin Irdeto as CEO

Irdeto has appointed Doug Lowther as its new chief executive, effective April 1. Lowther replaces Graham Kill, who resigned in September.

Currently Lowther is CEO at International Datacasting Corporation (IDC). Prior to IDC, Lowther was EVP of Irdeto’s Digital TV business and had been with the company for over nine years.

Irdeto said Lowther will strengthen Irdeto’s position in providing solutions for pay TV operators, over-the-top service providers, and content owners.

Additionally, Irdeto recently hired Andrew Bunten as CFO, effective February 1.

Prior to joining Irdeto, Bunten was CFO for Hewlett-Packard's cloud business, shepherding the company's strategic investment from the start-up phase to early maturity.
