World champion with the Italian national team, winner of the Champions League, and five-time Italian champion with Inter Milan Marco Materazzi visited the Astana FC youth football school.
Materazzi met the football school’s students, chatted with them, and took part in a football challenge. During his interaction with the young players, Materazzi gave them some advice that will be useful during their professional careers.
I was fortunate to play under the guidance of the best coach towards the end of my career. Jose Mourinho used to say that the best training is working with the ball. They used to think that one should work on your physical aspect first and then work with the ball. Now, there's a different approach. Working with the ball allows you to utilize all your skills and make more progress. The modern approach is the most efficient. Trust your coaches and heed their advice.
Materazzi will be the special guest at the first Metaratings Top Awards national sports and sports business awards ceremony. On March 28th, the names of the best athletes and coaches, journalists and bloggers, media and sports managers, as well as business representatives, will be announced at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Astana.
