Sypris Data Systems said it has received a contract from the Taiwanese government to supply high frequency (HF) receivers.

The Digital Signal Processing (DSP) based receivers will be used for signal collection and monitoring purposes, according to Sypris.

Sypris president Darrell Robertson said his company has mission-critical solutions for use by the United States and its allies

The California-based company designs, manufactures and provides support for high-performance data acquisition and storage systems.

The said contract marks Sypris' entry into the signals intelligence (SIGINT) receiver market for HF, VHF/UHF and microwave requirements for fixed site, mobile, airborne and shipboard applications.
