Hong Kong, September 2, 2013 - Telecom Asia is once again calling on analysts and telcos to nominate the best telecom equipment and software suppliers in 19 categories for its annual Readers’ Choice & Innovation Awards.

Now in its sixth year, the awards have always put a heavy emphasis on innovation. But this year we have added “Innovation” to the name to reflect the increased focus that suppliers have made to ensure their products and services help them find new ways to partner, test new business models and compete in the digital economy.

Nominations are open until September 20. Telecom Asia editors will review the nominations and consult with a panel of analysts to establish a final shortlist of nominees to be included in the final ballot to be voted on by our reader base of telecom professionals across Asia.

Online voting will open on October 2 to telecom services providers after the shortlist is completed. Winners will be announced at gala dinner on December 5 in Singapore.

Nomination Criteria:

  • Overall quality of innovation and contribution to technology advancement (60%)
  • Vision and industry leadership (15%)
  • Market acceptance -- market share growth, market share and new customer acquisition (15%)
  • Revenue growth and profitability (10%)
  • Based on performance in 12 months prior to Aug 1, 2013 -- nominated products/services should have been available by June 30, 2013
