Daniel Ricciardo edged out his McLaren teammate Lando Norris to register a first place in the Italian Grand Prix. Lando finished 01.747 second short of Daniel and Bottas who came on top in the qualifying race finished in third place. Charles Leclerc, Sergio Perez, Carlos Sainz Jr., Lance Stroll, Fernando Alonso, George Russell, Esteban Ocon, Nicholas Latifi, Sebastian Vettel, Antonio Giovinazzi, Robert Kubica, Mick Schumacher finished fourth-fifteen in the order stated above. Max Verstappen saw an early finish to the race after a collision with arch-rival Lewis Hamilton.

The hype around the Verstappen-Hamilton rivalry saw an anti-climatic chain of events with both racers putting each other out of the final race at the Italian Grand Prix after a collision during the twenty-seventh lap. The two racing stalwarts also had a collision in the opening lap but without any dire consequence. However, the collision during the twenty-seventh lap ended the race for them when Max attempted to overtake Hamilton but hit him in the back-side causing Verstappen’s car to be sitting on top of Hamilton’s car after the collision.
