10:00 AM UTC: Bangladesh vs England, Group 1, Super 12s, ICC Men’s T20 World Cup

Bangladesh will clash against England in what will be the second game of their T20 World Cup campaign. Bangladesh lost their first game against Sri Lanka while England bowlers gave West Indies no chance and stormed to their first win.

Shuffle in the batting order for England?

England’s batting didn’t have to chase many runs against West Indies and even though they lost four wickets for 39 runs against them, the team wouldn’t mind that considering their depth. Bangladesh has a left-arm spin option in Shakib and if Nasum Ahmed plays then the English batting order can see a shuffle. The team may promote Dawid Malan or the power-packed Moeen Ali to counter the two bowlers. However, that won’t affect the overall makeup as the team has too many options.

Fielding and nervous bowling of Bangladesh

Bangladesh had a terrible time in the field against Sri Lanka, especially Liton Das, who dropped catches of Asalanka and Rajapaksa, both of whom snatched the game away from Bangladesh. Bangladesh can’t afford these fielding lapses and wayward bowling against England who present even more power hitters than Sri Lanka. The Bangladeshi bowlers and fielders will have to tread carefully in this game.

England’s bowling and Bangladesh’s batting

Bangladesh made an encouraging 171 runs in the last match, however, England can change it. They have a mix of bowlers with Tymal Mills bringing in pace, Woakes with his movement, Rashid and Moeen forming a formidable spin duo, while Chris Jordan can do a holding job. If Mark Wood plays then the combination can look more deadly for England.

Mushfiqur Rahim showed his guns, scoring 57 off 37 in the last game while Naim played a handsome inning of 62 runs in 52 balls. If Shakib Al Hasan gets among the runs then England can face some trouble. Liton Das is yet to discover his mojo, making just 60 runs in four matches but he has shown his ability to score quickly in past. However, England comes across as favorites as the two teams meet for the first time in the T20Is.

The message is not to panic. Understand that you will get hit off a good ball. That's their mentality. But they also give you opportunity to take wickets. We must be calm to execute our skills and plans, and considered about every ball we bowl.
