Scott Booth who is the manager of the Birmingham City in the WSL has urged coaches to create a safer environment for women. His comments came in the wake of multiple sexual misconduct allegations, first against former coach Paul Riley of the NWSL and then against Kenneth Zseremate, who got under fire after a joint statement by the Venezuelan women’s football team. FIFA has also expressed concerns over multiple allegations of this nature and has opened up an investigation on former coach Paul Riley.

You have to constantly bear in mind that you are a man in women's football. There's certain things which are just unacceptable. It's crucial that you create an environment, as a male in women's football, that is safe and feels safe for women to come to work without the worry that anything like that may happen or be imposed upon them.
