Steven Gerrard who led the Scottish club Rangers FC to tier-one championship in the Scottish Premiership in the 2020-21 season has been appointed as the new manager of Aston Villa. The EPL club Aston Villa is in a precarious situation just two points above relegation that is why the hiring came in the middle of the season.
Aston Villa is a club with a rich history and tradition in English football and I am immensely proud to become its new head coach. In my conversations with Nassef, Wes, and the rest of the board, it was apparent how ambitious their plans are for the club and I am looking forward to helping them achieve their aims.
