The management of English club Manchester City believes that the club's head coach Josep Guardiola will leave the team before the imposition of sanctions for financial violations, reported The Athletic.

On February 7, the English Premier League (EPL) accused Manchester City of more than 100 financial irregularities from the 2009/10 season to the 2017/18 season. It was also reported that the Citizens could fall outside the country's four divisions if they are expelled from the EPL.

Manchester City is in second place in the table after 21 rounds of the 2022/23 English championship season. The team has 45 points. As part of the 22nd round, the Citizens will play at home to Aston Villa on February 12. The match will kick off at 19:30 GMT+3.
