Hatayspor confirm Atsu rescued from rubble after earthquake in Turkey

Hatayspor manager Mustafa Özat said that player Christian Atsu was found alive under the rubble after an earthquake in Turkey.

Earlier, media reported that the player was found alive, but the club denied the information. Now, a Hatayspor representative has confirmed that Atsu was rescued from under the rubble and taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Christian Atsu has been found with injuries. Our sports director Taner Savut is unfortunately still under the rubble. Hatay is extremely affected. We are nearing the end of the most dangerous hours.

Turkey was hit by a series of earthquakes on February 6, with the largest measuring 7.8 on the Richter scale. According to the latest information, 2.9 thousand people were killed and 15.8 thousand injured. On February 7 at 06:13 GMT+3 the earthquake in Turkey was repeated with a magnitude of 5.3.
