Great Britain’s Andy Murray has come in support of a potential plan that lays out restrictions on unvaccinated players during next year’s Australian Open. Murray said that the local governments can mandate harsher rules for unvaccinated players and he has no problem with it.

The impositions on unvaccinated athletes can be tough as Australia has been known for its strict lockdowns and tough quarantines. A few days, Victoria’s sports minister Martin Pakula also urged players to get vaccinated to have the “best chance” at playing in the tournament. Murray has also urged players to get vaccinated. Earlier, Novak Djokovic has shown firm resolution against vaccination.
