McGree sustained a foot injury early in the first half of Thursday's match and was substituted by Bos, who himself exited the field with a knee injury just before halftime.

Football Australia (FA) announced in a statement on Saturday
"McGree and Bos were sent for scans following the match, with the Socceroos' medical team now in consultation with Middlesbrough (McGree) and KVC Westerlo (Bos) on treatment plans," the FA said in a statement. "There has been no return to play timelines set for either player, with both Bos and McGree to be reviewed by club medical staff on their return."

Australia's next game will take place on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, when they will face Lebanon at the GIO Stadium. Australia is currently leading Group I with nine points from three matches played, making them the favorites to win the upcoming match. They are five points ahead of second-placed Palestine, while Lebanon has just two points. Australia is currently on a three-match winning streak against Lebanon. You can place a bet on Australia to win at 1.14 odds on Bet365.
