Manchester City

Defending FA Cup champions and four consecutive league title winners, Manchester City, enter their FA Cup final as the favorites to retain the tournament crown. Pep Guardiola's side has been impressive with their form, suffering only one defeat in their last 35 competitive matches all season. City clinched the Premier League crown last weekend on the final match day by defeating West Ham United 3-1. Manchester City advanced to the final of the 2023–24 FA Cup by defeating Chelsea 1-0 in the semifinals, with Bernardo Silva scoring late in the second half. The Citizen will feel confident that they can claim their second successive FA Cup crown and become the first English side to win back-to-back league and cup doubles.

Manchester United

Manchester United have struggled in the 2023–24 season, with Red Devils coach Erik Ten Hag under immense pressure after United finished their Premier League campaign in eighth place for the first time since the 1989–90 season. Erik Ten Hag will boost his side's confidence following their two consecutive winning streaks in the Premier League. During the run, United defeated Newcastle United 3-2 at home, and on the final day, they defeated Brighton 2-0 on the road while keeping their first clean sheet in their last 12 matches. Manchester United defeated Coventry on penalties after an awful performance from United in the 90 minutes of the game. Injury has been a major cause of United's awful performance, but it will be boosted with the return of several key players ahead of their trip to Wembley.

Pep Guardiola has little injury concern heading into Wembley Stadium on Saturday. Ederson is set to miss the final after the Brazilian goalkeeper suffered a fracture to his eye socket. Mateo Kovacic and Nathan Ake are all set to make their return.

Erik Ten Hag has some major boosts ahead of their trip to Wembley Stadium on Saturday, with Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez returning for United in the final Premier League matchday match against Brighton. Harry Maguire, who nursed an issue during the 2-2 draw at Bournemouth last time out, is another player the boss is hoping he can call upon at Wembley. Tyrell Malacia has yet to play this season and remains on the sidelines for the final. Victor Lindelof might also be unavailable due to muscle injuries.

Manchester City (4-5-1): Ortega (GK); Walker, Dias, Akanji, Gvardiol; Rodri, Silva, De Bruyne, Foden, Doku; Haaland.

Manchester United (4-2-2-2): Onana (GK); Dalot, Martinez, Varane, Wan-Bissaka; Casemiro, Mainoo; Garnacho, Diallo; Fernadez, McTominay.

Manchester City are considered the favorites to win the FA Cup final for the second successive season considering their impressive dominance throughout the season, but we anticipate a tightly contested final with both teams scoring. Based on the head-to-head and careful analysis, we predict:

  • Manchester City to win on 1xBet at 1.33 odds
  • Both teams score on Bet365 at 1.755 odds.
  • Phil Foden to score at anytime on Bet365 at 2.40 odds
