After the long-anticipated patch was released, Valve started fixing major Dota 2 updates in the last two weeks.

It's no joke; it's a revolution. The most popular meta-heroes have been nerfed. For example, Witch Doctor and Sand King were overly buffed in 7.34 and had a 60% win rate in matchmaking, according to Dotabuff.

The era when Witch Doctor and Sand King dominated Dota 2 matchmaking has ended. Witch Doctor was chosen too often, and his win rate was huge. That's why he was the first hero to be fixed. Death Ward Attack Range has been significantly decreased, and its early-game Cooldown has been increased twofold. Now he won't get a Rampage so often in the early game.

Sand King has lost almost all his arsenal. Burrowstrike damage has been reduced, and Sandstorm following the hero added only two weeks ago has been almost forgotten. That's how his dominance ends. To be fair, it was necessary: the hero had a 52% win rate before 7.34, quickly got to the top 3, and became increasingly popular.

Invoker's gameplay is not boring at all: Valve has canceled Wex Cooldown Reduction and reduced Ghost Walk value in the late game twofold. In patch 7.34, Karl's Quas-Wex build flourished, and the Tornado-EMP combo was trendy because of Wex Cooldown Reduction.

And although Wex's skill duration reduction remained the same, he no longer affects items. Invoker will win matches using Hand of Midas for farming, Boots of Travel for moving fervently across the map, and Scythe of Vyse for critical Hex.

We cannot say that the patch consisted only of nerfs. Abaddon has a significant Mist Coil Damage/Heal and Cast Range buff, Omniknight's Repel Cooldown has become shorter, and Marci now has a bonus Fury strike when using her Unleash.

Glimmer Cape

  • Glimmer: Cooldown has been increased from 12 to 14 seconds.

Spirit Vessel

  • Recipe has been changed, and total cost has been decreased by 200;
  • Old: Urn of Shadows (880), Crown (450), Crown (450), Recipe (1200). Total cost: 2980;
  • New: Urn of Shadows (880), Crown (450), Fluffy Hat (250), Recipe (1200). Total cost: 2780;
  • All Attributes bonus has been decreased from +12 to +6;

  • Wex: Cooldown Reduction no longer works on items.

  • Ghost Walk: Health Regeneration has been decreased from 10->80 to 10->45;
  • Ghost Walk: Mana Regeneration has been decreased from 5->40 to 2.5->20;
  • Ghost Walk: Health and Mana Regeneration are now disabled if Invoker took player-controlled damage in the last 3 seconds.

Invoker's Talents

  • Level 10 Talent: Tornado Cooldown Reduction has been decreased from 6 to 4 seconds;
  • Level 15 Talent: Cold Snap Cooldown Reduction has been decreased from 8 to 5 seconds.

Luna

  • Moon Glaives: Aghanim's Shard Orbit Radius has been increased from 150 to 175;
  • Moon Glaives: Aghanim's Shard Collision Radius has been increased from 90 to 115;
  • Eclipse: Cooldown has been decreased from 140/130/120 to 110 seconds.

Magnus

  • Shockwave: Aghanim's Shard Damage Multiplier on return has been increased from 50% to 75%;
  • Empower: Bonus Damage has been increased from 12/20/28/36% to 16/24/32/40%;
  • Empower: Cleave Damage has been increased from 10/20/30/40% to 16/24/32/40%.

Monkey King

  • Primal Spring: Cooldown has been decreased from 20/18/16/14 to 18/16/14/12 seconds;
  • Mischief: No longer limits movement speed to 200;
  • Mischief: Now grants 10% bonus movement speed.

Riki

  • Base Attack Speed has been decreased from 100 to 90;
  • Smoke Screen: Linger Duration has been decreased from 0.5 to 0 seconds.

Riki's Talents

  • Level 15 Talent: Tricks of the Trade Agility Increase has been decreased from +40% to +30%;
  • Level 20 Talent: Backstab Multiplier has been decreased from +0.4 to +0.3;
  • Level 25 Talent: Tricks of the Trade Cooldown Reduction have been decreased from 4 to 3 seconds.

Sand King

  • Base Damage has been decreased by 2;
  • Burrowstrike: Damage has been decreased from 100/150/220/280 to 80/130/200/260;
  • Sand Storm: Sandstorm Movement Speed has been decreased from 100 to 25/50/75/100;
  • Epicenter: Aghanim's Shard Pulse Interval has been increased from 2.5 to 3.5 seconds;
  • Epicenter: Aghanim's Shard Pulse now only slows for 50% of the duration of the regular Epicenter slow.

Sand King's Talents

  • Level 15 Talent: +125 Sand Storm Radius has been replaced with +25 Sand Storm Move Speed.

Undying

  • Aghanim's Shard: Heroes inside the tombstone are now stunned for 3 seconds if it gets destroyed;
  • Flesh Golem: Bonus Movespeed has been decreased from 30/40/50 to 20/30/40.

  • Splinter Blast: Mana Cost has been decreased from 105/120/135/150 to 105/115/125/135;
  • Splinter Blast: Cooldown has been decreased from 7 to 6 seconds.

  • Level 25 Talent: Death Ward Damage has been decreased from +60 to +45.
