Alcatel-Lucent has launched its 100G IP solution in China, completing the first live demo of the Alcatel-Lucent 7750 service router’s 100 Gigabit Ethernet (100GE) interface for China Telecom.
This demo validates the service router’s ability to handle the broad range of capabilities needed to support the scaling of connections at 100Gbps line-rate speeds.
It also demonstrates the viability of 100GE interfaces for broad deployment throughout carrier networks, extending beyond the IP core into the service edge and metro, where services meet the network.
