BlackBerry creator RIM reports that it was still looking into what caused the second widespread service disruption in its BlackBerry services. RIM said customers in the US and Canada 'experienced intermittent delays' but no no messages were lost, and voice and text messaging services were unaffected.

Redknee Solutions secures a deal from Vietnam's MobiFone to provide a real-time messaging rating a charging solution. MobiFone is a GSM service provider with the largest market share in Vietnam.

Huawei Technologies

unveils IPTime, an all-IP-based transport solution which creates enhanced broadband experiences. The firm said the new solutions will be marketed for carrier using either 2G or 3G mobile networks.
