BT appoints new service delivery partner for China

BT welcomed iSoftStone, a leading China-based IT services provider, as a shareholder in MDCL-Frontline, BT’s main delivery arm for the provision of IT infrastructure services to its multinational customers in China.

BT is the largest shareholder of MDCL-Frontline with a 47.5% holding, which remains unchanged. “We are very pleased about the investment in MDCL-Frontline. I’m sure iSoftStone’s additional service capabilities will further strengthen MDCL-Frontline’s position as a leading end-to-end IT services provider to its Chinese clients and global clients in China,” Commenting on the strategic investment, TW Liu, Chairman & CEO of iSoftStone, said.

With 150 engineers located in 21 cities in China, MDCL-Frontline has established itself as a premier IT services provider that specializes in IT system integration and infrastructure development, encompassing networking, servers, data storage and data centres. Its clients include large enterprises in China’s telecom, banking, and energy sectors.

MDCL-Frontline has become the preferred service provider for BT in China. With this investment, iSoftStone and MDCL-Frontline hope to leverage each other’s strengths and collaborate on strategic initiatives like smart city, healthcare, Internet of Things, and Cloud Computing.
